Stop Press

David Maudsley of the Stokesley Society and the Heritage Group has dropped a line to the Heritage website to tell us that the Memorial Garden was a gift to the town from 'Totty' Alderson and was given after the Second World War in remembrance of those who served and died.

SPIOTA has reacted quickly to Alan Swales's appeal and has expressed its intention to restore the garden. They, just like us, are appealing for any pictures or memories which they will use to help in their work.

Stokesley folk are it seems determined to remember their fallen townsmen.
